Blaney Meadows hike,
John Muir Wilderness

Take a close look at the man to the right, and try to remember his face. If you ever see this man approaching you, consider running, for he is truly evil. Unless you're into that sort of thing. I don't think I really need to prove my statement above, look what he's doing in the picture. That's the Virgin! Not only that, she's on a holy peak in Italy, and on a holy day, no less. If any of the many locals that climbed this peak on this sacred day had seen Dan Ger opening his beer this way, they would have probably tried to put a stake through his heart. Well, at least it would have been well deserved. Truly evil, just watch yourself around him.
Evil though he may be, this boy knows where the cool spots are in the mountains, so I took a chance and went on a hike out to Blaney Meadows with Dan Ger. This is a spot with a hot spring in the John Muir Wilderness about 10 miles out from the trailhead at Florence Lake. We started about 6pm on saturday and arrived at the campsite about 5 hours later, so most of the hiking was in the dark, making path-finding nice and challenging. The following day we hiked back out starting around 2:30pm and arriving at 7:30pm. Ok, I arrived that late, Dan had been waiting for a half hour. I was beat, gotta watch out when you go hiking with evil people, I learned.
